We are Emma and Grant, the Shaffers.
We both truly believe our greatest and highest calling in life is to serve you through whatever work has been gifted to us. By the goodness of God, He has handed us both a camera! What a precious gift of life it is to celebrate love, and to celebrate marriage; and further, what a gift to be able to capture that. We strive to firstly be friends in this process, and to then allow your story to speak for itself. Never altering a moment, simply granting room for them to be.
We reside in north Georgia, nestled in the Appalachian mountains. We love slow coffee dates at home, a day out in a river, traveling anywhere and everywhere, and any movie that makes us laugh. High school sweethearts and married young, we have stood in awe of the story the Lord has written for us; and we can not wait to be a part of yours.
Our approach.
Our simple goal when capturing your wedding day is to take a documentary approach: organic, true, and honest. Blending the timeless, physical mediums of analog and digital to document as truthfully as possible; exactly what your wedding day deserves.
We seek to not interfere, but to observe. Not to control, but to witness. A wedding day carries on, whether camera present or not. You are free to be, and free to simply be married.
Documentary - more than a trend.
Documentary, timeless, true to life: words thrown around in the wedding industry, used to describe style and aesthetic. I would love to offer a different definition; these are words that your wedding already holds. Your loved ones, the thoughtful details, the sacred moment of saying "I do" are already happening, and already real life. Waiting to be captured, silently marching on needing no interference.
We seek to notice and observe the details of what is already there, already whole. Serving your day, serving you. Only providing gentle guidance and instruction when necessary. The goal, ultimately, is to curate a wedding gallery and film that are a very real, very tangible exposé of every detail; imperfections, adrenaline, spilled drinks, bare feet, and dirty dresses all the same.
Your wedding day is already whole, already worthy of being captured simply as is.
what you can expect from us documenting your wedding day:

A natural, organic approach to posing. We have no interest in devoting most of our time together to instructing and directing, we will most certainly give guidance when needed, but most always allowing your love and nature together take lead.

A final photo gallery with a blend of digital images, as well as multiple film mediums. Film lends to the soft, the nostalgic, and the truly unique character of light and color in your images. With no interference between lens, subject, light, and shadow; film is truly the most organic medium of witnessing your wedding day.
A final video that captures the way you felt on your wedding day. Blending super 8 and digital documentation, curated to truthfully tell the story.

Incredible care, attention to detail, and thoughtfulness not just on your wedding day, but throughout your whole wedding season. The planning and coordination of a wedding can already cause immense overwhelm and stress; and we aim to be a calm in the chaos, and a constant in all the details.

Wedding Package Options.
In our absolute best efforts to serve you as well as we can, the options you are about to look at are all-inclusive to travel, film, and will always include a second photographer. In addition, every package includes all day wedding coverage, with a max of 12 hours. Your wedding day should not conform to the limits of a photographer's or videographer's hours, so rest assured, we will be present for your whole wedding day.

All day coverage up to 12 hours, 35mm and 120mm film & digital coverage, a second professional photographer, travel within the contiguous United States, one hour engagement session.

Photo Only Wedding Weekend Coverage
All day coverage up to 12 hours, 35mm and 120mm film & digital coverage, a second professional photographer, travel within the contiguous United States, one hour engagement session, plus an additional 4 hours of coverage dedicated to time outside your wedding day: ex. rehearsal dinner, welcome dinner, day after session, etc.
